    Haven't been stopping by as much recently, but I'm very happy to have caught this beautiful piece @GeoTony. The instrument swells sounds like the planet/star is an aquatic marine creature calling to others. I hope you will be doing a piece for the latest Artemis 2 mission - there are already some really amazing pictures for inspiration.

    Thanks @richardyot and @pbelgium … this was one of those happy combinations of apps and sounds.
    Decent Sampler has loads of sounds Richard that superficially sound fairly routine but have hidden depths to them.
    Artemis 2 is a pretty good idea 👍

    I listened to this in the shower tonight after a long double shift. Nine minutes and twenty two seconds of pure and complete Zen! Really nice, Tony!

    Gorgeous. Just gorgeous.

    I always had difficulty appreciating ambient music because it didn’t go anywhere. Focusing on it bored me to death. Like listening to a fan. Then, thanks to @jwmmakerofmusic, I learned that you don’t have to pay attention to it. It was OK to do something else. It was just there. That’s was the point. That understanding changed my perception of the genre.

    Then I listen to this. I didn’t want to think about or do anything else. I wanted to pay attention. If sucked me in. It took me a wonderful, peaceful place. I listened again. And yes, there is kind of structure here. It builds and evolves in a very musical way. It isn’t “just there”. So I have to ask… is this something more than “ambient”?

    BTW - forget making the next one shorter to save water. Make it longer. Just put a disclaimer in there to not listen in the shower. :)

    Wow, I really appreciate the listen and comments @boomer , especially coming from such a great musician as yourself 🙏
    I know what you mean about ambient… I do try and add something , whether it be rhythm or melody to break it out of the ‘pleasant noise’ stereotype .
    In this case it was a semi improvised melody played with GeoShred. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t 😊

    This is really lovely. I have been playing along with it, using the TE English Horn in Thumbjam in CM. Low volume with a ton of reverb and chorus. Very relaxing and perfect for sitting outside and chilling. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Peace.
