Groundloops/Noise when using electric guitar

in Loopy Pro

Im getting groundloops when building a setup for electric guitar and acoustic guitar with backtrax. Everything is working fine when i use the same usb hub with my computer running logic pro. Ipad air 13 m3/Audient Id14/Loopy Pro/M-wave schocolate plus

    Maybe try unplugging the power brick and running straight from the iPad as a power source, just to see if the problem is caused by mains hum.

    It is almost certainly a hardware rather than software issue. My iRig HD2 hums if power from the wall is in use when I use it with my iPad in most rooms in my house. No him if only battery powered. Using a ground lift makes no difference. But if I go to a friend’s house I have no trouble.

    No hum with my Zoom U-24 either place when using mains.

    If the iPad isn't supplying enough power, or if you need charging, using a battery bank should clear it up.

    btw, is the computer being powered or running on battery when using the setup with Logic Pro.

    I solved hum issues most of the time with running my setup via battery, not wall power.

    No you have to buy $50 worth of fancy apps to simulate the noise once you eliminate it.

    (Actually, there really is an inexpensive app that does that. I forget the name because it was such a bizarre idea to me after spending 20+ years tryin' to get rid of mains noise. 😂)
