You are on a creative roll. Gadget loaded to the max is so powerful for EDM creations.
Thanks for replying, mate.
Means a lot to me.
I love how creative I can become in Gadget. Over the past 12 years since Gadget's initial release, I must've dumped at least $1000 USD into the Gadget iOS "ecosystem", with a majority of that investment probably dumped into Module Pro's various IAPs. And yes, I indeed have purchased every last Gadget-compatible app and every last IAP within Gadget and its compatible apps over the years.
This is going to sound rather dumb, but when I work in Gadget, I feel like I'm in a big studio surrounded by tons of vintage and modern gear that can make any sound imaginable, except it costs less money and takes up a fraction of the space given its all on a 13" iPad.
And I can produce any genre imaginable in Gadget. For example, Korg recently released the "Pure Guitar Magic" for Module Pro (shows up in the Glasgow gadget), and I produced a Metal-styled track. (Of course with the disclaimer that those lead guitar sounds in Module's new pack will never be a substitute for the real deal. ❤️ ) This above piece is Bass House, which was popularized in the mainstream EDM scene back in 2015 by Valentino Khan. Just the other day, I attemped a Downtempo type piece in the style of Boards of Canada (although as pointed out nicely, I should've made the beat timing a bit looser lol).
The best part is, Korg have improved the sample browser a lot since the Gadget 1 days. I have my entire drum sample collection ported into Gadget (from "Sounds of KSHMR" to "Black Octopus Leviathan" to "Samples from Mars" and just random bits and bobs).
Do you load these sample collections in Gladstone or some other Gadget?
Well, I copy the samples over into Gadget's folder directory via Files.
Then they can be loaded into Bilbao and Vancouver. I use Bilbao for the drums. I initialize the pads and use the 2-band EQ effect with the low knob turned all the way down on most drums except for kicks and such where the low-end of the drum sample is needed.
That way the mix doesn't become muddy.
This is way out of my usual listening wheelhouse and I love it, a lot! Nice man, great jam.
Glad you dig it, mate.
It's always a joy when someone who's not usually a fan of a genre loves what I make in said genre. ❤️
This one is very tasty, sir.
Cheers mate. Glad you like it. ☺️
Pretty nice groove man, I’m already working on my summer playlist so I hope you don’t mind I borrow this 😅
I don't mind one bit.
Glad you dig the groove. Bass House (as with pretty much any House genre) is definitely about groove.
