How many distortions do we need? I have a zillion apps to make a sound going from Gandhi to Pol Pot.

It can be used as a very subtle and powerful Swiss Army knife of audio production, but it should be used for absolute face-melting mayhem..

On first glance it overlaps with Saturn quite a bit. I guess we need to take it for a spin to answer your question!
True that! Then again, if Kombinat 4 works on iPhone, could be the viable alternative to Saturn on iPhone.
Edit- I just read the original post again. It DOES work on iPhone!
Chances are it will also be a lot cheaper alternative to Saturn though, which is nice!
Gotta say, other flaws aside, I love Audio Damage for 2 things:
the design aesthetic
the iOS pricing

Saturn also has the usual FF excellent modulation options, and also may have a wider range of distortion algorithms e.g. cabinets, I can't remember offhand.
This has a lot of different types of distortion, but I have to say, I generally prefer making my own chains of single, dedicated FX apps. This is useful for someone who doesn't have many distortion effects, but if you have, for example Ringotron, that will always beat an app like this in ring modulation. And then, if you really want multiband processing, you can simply use an app like Bleass Motion EQ to split the signal to various outs, then put your own dedicated fx on each.
