Title: Global Pitch Bend → Knob Mapping for AUv3 in Loopy Pro?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to set up a universal pitch bend control mapped to a knob inside , and I’m running into a limitation.

What I’m trying to do

I want one knob (MIDI or on-screen) to send pitch bend data that works across any AUv3 synth, without having to map parameters individually inside each plugin.

The issue

• Some AUv3 synths expose pitch bend as a mappable parameter → works fine
• Others don’t expose it at all → no way to map inside Loopy Pro
• MIDI learn doesn’t always catch pitch bend the same way it does CCs

What I’m looking for

Is there a way in Loopy Pro to:

• Create a global pitch bend source
• Map that to a knob
• Route it as MIDI Pitch Bend (not CC) to any loaded AUv3

Possible workarounds I’ve tried

• Mapping plugin parameters manually (not consistent across synths)
• Using MIDI FX plugins (limited success depending on AUv3 support)
• Using portamento/glide instead (works, but not the same expressive control)

Ideal solution

Something like:

• Knob → sends Pitch Bend messages
• Loopy routes that MIDI to the target AUv3
• Works regardless of whether the synth exposes pitch internally

Questions

• Does Loopy Pro currently support mapping a control directly to MIDI Pitch Bend messages?
• If not, is there a recommended AUv3 MIDI utility that can convert a knob (CC) → pitch bend reliably?
• Any clean routing setups people are using for this?

Appreciate any insight—this feels like it should be simple but isn’t 😅

@creeperswordsmen : I am not sure what you mean in your post.

Loopy can send pitchbend to any AUv3, but the pitch range that gets mapped to is up to the receiving AUv3. Some provide range control, some don’t.

Loopy pro doesn’t currently listen to pitchbend as a trigger for midi learn.

To convert midi CC to pitchbend, you could create a slider or knob that sends pitchbend and midi map it so that a midi cc controls it.

What do you mean by “more range”?
