Tonality Chord Pads - What is Automation Primed?

I tapped the icon shown and it shows the chords and the message “Automation Primed.” I tried to find information on the feature in the manual, here and on YouTube. Can anyone explain what it does and how it works?

    I believe it has to do with connecting and using a midi tap pedal or midi pedal board like Blueboard.

    This way you could assign a button on your midi pedal and have it play an assigned pad, or change a setting like velocity. Ive never used it cause i don't have the hardware, but i think it’s something along those lines.
