    Roland get your finger out you need better marketing .

    @AudioGus maybe , or possibly the complicated pricing structure ,
    as I thought I had bought IOS V3 outright , but I do pay monthly for access to desktop versions ..
    although looking into it now I can’t see if IOS version only purchase is possible .
    maybe they changed it , but it does seem a mess to try to understand .

    Terrifying to see how many apps on that list I own, but haven’t really used.

    Out of that list I have a soft spot for Egoist - though more for its sample chopping than its bass/drum stuff - and Gadget, which I’ve been revisiting after buying a couple of new Gadgets in the recent sale.

    It’s a shame Gadget doesn’t host third-party AU’s, but I like the workflow, and there’s always an option to bring in samples. Never completed a full song with it, but good for making ‘bits’, particularly rhythmic stuff.

    Gadget on iPad is very good! And you can use the gadgets as auv3 which is great! I wish @AmpifyxNovation would do the same with Groovebox 😢

    GR2 is the only one mentioned that has smooth live transitions between songs. Not only can it pre-load the next song but it also has transition of tempo, cross fade, etc.

    Drambo is the only one I'd fully trust for now. It's been battle tested in the field.

    I like Electribe Wave for this too, (and the older iELECTRIBE) transitions are at the pattern level, jump or sequential, tempo lock or unlock. Not tested but seems like it could be fun. EDIT of course GR-16 has that type mechanic. I guess I sound stupid at this point.

    So sad that iDS-10, Electribe and Kaossilator are not inside Gadget. Mainly ids-10. love that son of a gun

    Roland defined the attributes of a Groovebox with the MC303 and subsequent incarnations. They invented it and named it. It’s an all in one multiple track sequencer with a drum machine and several synth tracks built in - this can include sampling capability.

    Strokes by Cong Burn is worth a look too. It’s a bit of a steep learning curve but well worth it. The performance page is really nice. You can cross fade between different projects, a bit like GR2 does but more granular. You can cross fade between individual tracks.

    His other app Stacks is also very good.

    Electribe as AUV3 with multi-out would be lovely.
