yes that’s it. !! thanks man
Choppa has had some nice updates.
Interesting
i like Choppa but not being able to load wav files in is frustrating.
It's been a little disappointing, tbh. I like the standalone version, but I was expecting more functionality as an auv3 in AUM. Reading the auv3 part of the description more closely, maybe that was my mistake, but I bet a lot of other people were similarly mistaken. I wouldn't have spent $5 on it if I had known that the only thing you can open are choppa files (afaik, anyway), which you have to create in standalone.
Oh wow, I wouldn't be happy with that either, not one bit tbh
I’m wondering if everyone knows that Loopy Pro lets you send midi notes to an auto-sliced loop? In the original V1 you had to use a slicer widget and then map the midi, but in more recent versions you can play a sliced loop direct straight after recording. This was something I’d dreamed of being able to do for so long, but I’ve never been aware of much discussion about it since it was added (although maybe I just wasn’t paying attention).
i actually did not know that. thanks !
how and where in the app do you do this?
Ha well.... after being busy doing other stuff for a while I just opened up my most recent big session and it's a wonder of Loopy engineering... only I have no idea what's going on or how I did it
So, here's Michael's video which is obviously the most authoritative source. This video is for midi to pitched notes, but at 56 secs you can see where you can choose Transient slices.
If that doesn't do It give me a couple of days and I should hopefully of relearnt WTF I was doing.
Ah, actually, not so hard to get back on the bike again:
As an example, in a new project with a single loop.
Add a midi source in the mixer (on screen keyboard is fine)
Tap '+' in destination
Select 'Play Audio Clip'
Select playback type (pitched notes / transient slices / even divisions)
Tap on the donut to select (it will then automatically go back to main screen)
You can do this before or after you add audio into the loop.
My project has an extra step of recording the midi into a midi loop and then routing that midi loop to play the slices in the audio loop. I also have a switcher widget to toggle the midi input to different destinations (i.e. different loops), I think that was following some @espiegel123 magic instructions from on the forum somewhere. Right now I'm very happy to be back with Loopy Pro in front of me
@steve99 : maybe the instructions are found here?

That’s it, really neat, thank you. I’ve got it setup with 2 columns of 5 buttons for 2 different midi controllers (routing/switching between 2 synths, a drum app and 2 midi to audio loops) and then could duplicate more if needed. A joy.
