Save me from auto save

Anybody else ever felt this pain?…..
I somehow accidentally deleted a large amount of data from a Logic project. I noticed it right after it happened and hit the undo button. This action caused Logic to crash, which auto saved the current state. Reopening the project automatically loaded the auto saved version with no option to load the previously saved version. Unless somebody knows of a way to recover a previously saved version, a weeks worth of work is now gone forever.

  • Sorry to hear that, totally sucks. Auto-save is a really dumb idea, but that's Apple for you. If at least iCloud had version history like Dropbox...

Totally agree. I create a manual backup at the end of every session minimum. Usually after I feel like I’ve achieved something good. It’s a chore though. Definitely the worst thing about Logic Pro in my opinion

Yeah, i usually do exactly that but tragically didn’t this time. Just to kick me when I’m down, the week old version I went back to is now giving the missing audio message on every single quick sampler and sample alchemy track in the project. And thats after making sure every sample was saved, every patch was saved and every preset within the patches was saved. I just put a review up on the App Store saying the iPad version misrepresents the fact that you must also have the Mac version, and the Mac to run it on, in order for the sampler plugins to work. I’ve given up on bug reporting. A bad day in Logicland for me.
