  • Excellent interview as usual Jakob! And thank you, Tarekith, for sharing...what you do sounds great! Those D2X monitors are gnarly!

  • Great interview! Very informative. It worked, you two together.

    Keep fingering your surface!

  • Really enjoyed this...particularly the link to Tarekith's guiddes!

  • Thanks everyone, and thanks to Jakob for asking such good questions too.

And yes, those D2x's are gnarly, in the most beautiful way possible :)

  • Congrats to both of you. Thanks for sharing.

  • Enjoyed this very much.

  • Interesting read

  • Thank you so much and HUGE Thanks to @Tarekith for making this Interview possible! :)

  • @jakoB_haQ that was your best interview yet! Except now I want to know what kind of a bike he has!!!

  • Rocky Mountain Slayer70. :)

  • You definitely have a high quality lifestyle. We're all quite jealous. Now I'll have to go take my '82 LeMans Centurion for a spin around the block, you're a source of diverse inspiration.

  • Honestly a lot of it is being a bit of a minimalist (I don't have a lot of "stuff"), and learning to buy and sell things (music gear, bikes, etc) to make upgrading as easy and cheap as possible.

Not spending a ton of money on apps I probably won't use helps too for instance :)

  • More respect. Simplicity helps me a lot. Listening is tougher than I gave it credit for initially, but it seems you incorporate it well in your music and life @Tarekith.

  • Thanks Jakob, for another great interview, and Tarekith for some mastering insight. Great video, nice scenery and sound.. Are they your own tunes and are you influenced by warp recs, Autechre, Black dog productions by any chance ?

  • It is irrelevant here, and I understand why you wouldn't speak on it...but the Elektron community has lost a lot from you no longer being a voice.

As a company, they've certainly lost something by not giving credit and accommodation where it was due. Your contributions are appreciated and missed.

  • Very nice interview, quite enjoyed it

Thanks for the kind words. It was a difficult decision since I had so many friends over on E-U, but I needed to move on and put that situation behind me. Maybe someday I'll go back to the Elektron way of working.

You mean the mountain biking video? Yes that's all my own music. Not sure if I would say I was influenced by the Warp label at all, though it's been something I listen to now and then so who know? :)

  • Yes, Sorry Tarekith, the mountain biking vid. Your tunes remind me of that style and would mix up well on the decks with those tunes :)

  • Thanks man, it's all available for free on my site :)
