New track-Link audio stress testing

I've been intrigued by the rapid development of tools like @dendy AudioPipeline. I used it to sample ios apps in Ableton Live then built a tune around the sampled bits. Here's a short list of some of the steps I took.

  • Uploaded a bunch of percussion loops made in Impaktor. Unfortunately Impaktor's not working in AUM as an IAA plugin on my set up so I had to upload them into Live the old fashioned way
  • Piped an instance of Chiangmi triggered by Riffer into Live via AudioPipeline. That's the main piano sounded thing
  • Played a couple of parts from Laplace piped into Live (bass, plucky thing)
  • Edited sampled audio in Live to make more coherent parts (timestretch, repitch, create different phrases by moving stuff around)
  • Fleshed out an arrangement in Live's Session view
  • Recorded drums (Superior Drummer)
  • Added a couple of lead lines by piping Thumbjam into Live
  • Light processing - a little eq, a couple of tracks sent to reverb/delay, little compression here and there

All in all being able to pipe audio directly into Live made for a workflow with a lot les friction. There's something about uploading files, or hooking up audio interfaces/cabling that breaks up the flow. The development on these tools has been fast and I look forward to seeing them develop. This tune came together in 2 days which is very fast for me.

Anyhoo, here's what popped out.

  • I’ve no idea what’s happening from a technology point of view but the end result in impressive…
Lovely ethnic sounds and a great vibe … great work 🙏

  • Great to hear my little experiment is actually helping people to be creative  Really interesting music !

  • Thanks for listening @GeoTony and @dendy .

  • Love this music! I'm surprised I didn't see this thread sooner!

  • Very cool! I love this type of music. It’s not ambient. It’s not rock. It’s not EDM. It’s original. Looks like we both use several of the same apps. I have Impaktor, but I only used it a few times. I’ll fire it up today and revisit it. Nice to see Thumbjam getting some love! I love the simple, expressive playing surface. It still seems to work for me in AB3 into Cubasis. I also like GeoShred, but doubt if I could master it like @GeoTony. Have a great day!

  • Nice sounds! Love the melodic rhythmic sounds. AudioPipeline and the process looks interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks @jwmmakerofmusic , @Paulieworld & @pbelgium . I appreciate the listens and comments.
