Connection issue - extra info

    That looks like a straightforward timeout message due to the server being hammered with bots, or even sometimes denial of service attacks. That's probably something that is inevitable from time to time short of significantly increasing the cost of the infrastructure. But it's always helpful to have specifics. Thanks for that.

    Sorry this went unnoticed for so long. The Other section doesn't show up in the regular feed and if I get busy I sometimes forget to check for new posts here. Feel free to use "Other music content" for anything that needs to reliably get attention.

    Yeah, it was bad for a bit there. Seems to be better for me now.

    I am more likely to get page dropouts if I hit the browser back button to look at a previous loopy page.

    It doesn’t happen every time.

    I find when the dropout does happen I just need to refresh the page and it loads without issue.

    Overall the browsing experience has been improving.

    That's odd @Mountain_Hamlet. If anything, pressing the back button should have fewer connection failures than loading fresh as it's more likely to be using your browser's web cache.

    It can be a bit of a rash action depending on your browser, but clearing the cache might be a help here - the theory being that your device is struggling with a large or corrupted cache.

    Unfortunately, that means possibly losing default settings for sites and possibly having to re-log into them. Probably not, since that's usually held in cookies, but there is that possibility.

    fwiw, the site is having a hell of a time intermittently today. It could just be that.

    Yep. My cache gets cleared frequently.
    It’s a house keeping exercise to keep things clean.

    I think the Internet generally has become a bit of an unfriendly place for humans as of late.

    I’ve locked that one down now – bunch of malicious actors accessing the server directly instead of going via Cloudflare, and pummelling it. Now you can only access the server via Cloudflare

    .....And then abwiki.loopypro.com got attacked and took the whole server down. Blocked for now until I figure out what to do next
