Help with Helium from 4 pockets

Hey all, possibly a dumb question, but that’s never stopped me…

I’m using Helium, a midi sequencer inside loopy pro as an auv3. I’d like to be able to start and stop it in a similar fashion to loopy’s midi clips; iow’s, time the start of the sequence so it starts in time with loopy on beat one of bar one (of a possibly several bar loopy length). The thing is, the midi clip in helium may be several bars as well.

The problem I’m seeing is even with helium not synced initially, it’s playhead is still running, so when I start Helium, it may be in the middle of the midi clip - I want it at the beginning.

Any help appreciated.

    I don't have Loopy but I do have Helium. You are pressing the Sync Button on the top row aren't you in Helium aren't you?

    If you are in REMOTE mode where you have defined loops you can trigger them by sending C6 - B6 (12 loops total) midi notes to Helium. You must be in remote looping mode to do this. When a loop triggers using this mode it plays the loop once in its entirety. If you want the loop to play while the key is pressed send C7 - B7 and the loop will start and stop with the key. I'm not so familiar with Loopy Pro so not sure how best to send the MIDI notes. I have plenty of videos on this on my YouTube channel.
