https://apps.apple.com/app/id6775461616

Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) Loader brings the power of neural network-based amp modeling to your iOS device. Load any .nam model captured from real guitar amplifiers and cabinets, and play through them with the authentic feel and response of the original gear.

Whether you're practicing with headphones, recording in GarageBand or AUM, or playing live through your favorite AUv3 host, NAM Loader delivers studio-quality amp simulation with the warmth and character of classic tube amps, the punch of solid-state, or the high-gain tones of modern metal — all from a single neural network model.

Tone3000 Community Integration:
• Browse thousands of community-created NAM models
• Sign in with your Tone3000 account to access your saved tones
• Download and load models directly within the app
• Search by amp, pedal, or artist to find your perfect sound

Key Features:
• Load any standard .nam neural amp model
• Built-in noise gate to keep your signal clean
• Tone stack EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) to shape your sound
• Impulse Response (IR) support for cabinet simulation
• AUv3 plugin — works with GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, and more
• Standalone mode with built-in audio input
• MIDI CC mapping for hands-free parameter control
• Low-latency processing for real-time performance
• Perfect companion for Studio Camera and other music apps

Note: This app requires an AUv3-compatible host app (such as GarageBand, AUM, or Cubasis) to function as a plugin. In standalone mode, it operates as an audio effects processor with full MIDI control.

  • The Tone3000 integration looks great! I'm curious to see how the app handles long filenames like "TK V4.7 T6 B3.2_OH 112 Imperial TK1660 low.nam"

  • Man…and I just bought Studio Camera after hearing the NAM loader supported A2. Wish I knew this was in the works. Say la vee!

Same, I might still buy it lol.

  • I just bought the Studio Camera app, as well. No big deal, it was super cheap.

Does this new app allow auditioning the profile before downloading it? What sort of file management and preset system does it have?

  • edited June 8

OK, I had a chance to try it out. You can only surf the tone3000 site in the standalone version and not in the AUV3. There is no auditioning before download. As well, there is no information other than the name of the profile and the author. So you can’t tell if it’s a full rig, amp head, etc. Nor can you tell when it was created nor how many downloads.

I found myself having to use a browser to figure out which profiles I wanted to download and then going back to the app to download them and then going to the AUV3 to actually play them.

@Pixel how difficult would it be to add the ability to filter search, see details and audition in the AUV3?

Sorry, I’m not the developer of the app.

So just sounds like the Studio Camera loader reskinned. Thanks for guineapigging 🤙

  • Before I purchase it, does this one let you choose the quality of the A2 capture? You know the 0 to 1.0 setting in the new Gateway program.

There’s a “slim” knob. I tested it by turning it to each extreme which resulted in a 3-4% difference in DSP usage.

    Thank you.

  • @rafabertholdo I tried the app as an AUv3 in Logic Pro. It seems like the noise gate doesn't work at all. Second, would it be possible to add the values into the knobs so you know how much you're increasing or decreasing the input, output, EQ knobs. Lastly, I didn't see the "slim' knob.

Re the slim knob. Was the capture in A2 format?

  • Hey guys, tkx for the feedback. I'm working on the fixes, suggestions and adding stereo IRs. This update will take some time to get ready because I'm going on a vacation trip, but I'll keep you posted.

    Correct.

this looks like the guitar parts of studio camera separated out, but it’s more expensive. It’s more guitar oriented then?

Pretty much. It's essentially the Gateway app repackaged to be on iOS, which is greatly appreciated.

  • YouTube is abuzz with how NAM A2 is gonna obviate all the other amp profilers, like Kemper and Tonex. Possibly so. I’ve been playing the Amalgam Audio “Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue Iconic Clean A2” for two days, and it’s extraordinarily good. I’m looking forward to more A2 captures arriving soon.

Have you tried the Blackstar official captures?

Hey @maxxpower18. I just downloaded them this morning. Having tried a few, I can say that they are REALLY good captures. They offer full rigs and heads, but I’ve only tried the full rigs so far I may get the heads, too, and run them through the OwnHammer cab IRs I normally use.

It looks like they converted all of the A1 captures to A2 on the tone3000 site. Are those not as good as ones created specifically for A2?

  • Thèse Blackstar heads are fantastic.
    They sound and feel amazing.
    I have played a few others v2 heads,and wow,simply stunning.
    Flo

  • The Blackstar captures are honestly the gold standard of how captures should be made. I love the stuff from Amalgam and the other person but I don't really need 60+ captures of the same amp with what are essentially useless settings. Blackstar provided the best and most "usable" setting captures and they sound great.

I wish someone like Orange would partner with T3K because I would love all the OR30, OR15 and Rockerverb captures.

  • For you NAM A2 wranglers, these two Deluxe profiles are quite good. Head only, so you’ll need a cab IR.
