Session record sequencer mode questions and issues
Hi all,
I am trying out the Session record sequencer mode for the first time and have a few questions:
What does the sequencer actually record?
It seems like the gui only shows when clips are playing (triggered on or off). It also seems to record fade out actions.
Does it also record button presses? I use buttons to change settings on my plugins during a session and it would be great if it did record these. If so, how do I see it in the session view gui?
Finally, when I record a session it doesn't always record which clips are playing accurately. For example, I have a 2 bar drum loop that plays most of the time but sometimes it only records it playing for the 2 bars after I trigger it (doesn't loop). Sometimes it works fine. There are no follow actions on the clip and it is set to loop.
Thanks!

Session sequencer captures clip initial recording and clip play and stop events.
Can you screen record a demonstration of the problem where it records only a single playback cycle?
Thanks for the clarification.
So it only captures clip play, stop, and (initial) record events?
When you play it back, does it trigger any follow actions on the clips started and stopped by the sequencer?
I thought fade out was working, but it seems like it recorded the length of time the clip faded but does not actually fade the volume. Is this expected?
Here is a screenshot of the recorded sequence. Track 4 is the drum track that plays the whole time except bars 1-4. When recorded it didn't get it right. It also didn't capture track 3 which only played bars 1-4. Track 4 was correct from bar 42 to the end (not shown).
Yes, clips’ follow actions are triggered. Changes in volume aren’t recorded.
I’d need to see the session recording being made to have some idea why some of those playback events weren’t captured. Does that drum clip predictably not get captured?
