Vagabond is an idiosyncratic wavetable synthesiser, running standalone or as an AUv3 instrument in compatible hosts such as GarageBand, AUM, Loopy Pro or Cubasis. It features 16 voice polyphony, 4 unison oscillators per voice plus a sub-oscillator, switchable filter, a bit of modulation and some effects.
Also built in is a MIDI processor plugin, Twelve, a generative music toy that creates 12-bar blues sequences. Vagabond uses this for demo purposes, but you can load it in other hosts if you like. It's kind of a one trick pony, but one trick is better than none.
As always, Vagabond is 100% free, no IAPs, no subs, no spyware, no nag screens. We don't want your money and we don't want your data.

Pretty fun and all free setup, what a contrast to the Two Notes Genome blokes who not only robs you blind but also collects your data (not a comparable use case but still).
Kind of odd that the lone adsr envelope can’t also control the filter cutoff. Otherwise, this is pretty great.

Has anyone got Twelve working? I load it as a Midi FX in Logic and feed it some midi but nothing. I assume it should behave like a (12 bar blues) arp?
Edit: I see. It doesn't want any midi and the hosts transport must be running

This is a cool app! Not only is it free and sounds great, it’s also small (only 3.1 mb) and scales perfectly in AUM on a phone in portrait mode.
The UI, while a little hard to read, is such a refreshing and welcome change from the vibe-coded look that’s glutted the market lately.
My only request would be a random button.

Vagabond is quite impressive. Packs a lot into a single wavetable. Interesting idea to have unison voices spread across the waves; wide spread gives four completely different sounds. The sample presets show how BP or HP filtering can extract different sounds from a wave.
