Scratch, cut and shape your samples on a tactile turntable. 33/45/78 RPM, 4-band EQ, 6 cue points and 16 VU950 effects across 4 inserts.
VU44-7 - sample like a vinyl digger.
VU44-7 turns sampling into a hands-on, tactile experience. Instead of staring at waveforms, you spin a real turntable platter, drop the needle and catch the perfect loop the way crate-diggers always have — by ear and by feel.
Record straight off a spinning platter to get that warm, hand-played vinyl character into your sampler. Nudge the speed, scratch in a chop, cut it on the fly and grab exactly the slice you want. It's the fastest, most musical way to pull samples - whether you're flipping a record, a Youtube clip or your own field recordings.

Question, and I’m sorry it’s a little off-topic… I often see apps by a developer advertised as having no trackers, then look at their other apps and see trackers. From a motivation standpoint, why trackers in some free apps and not in other free apps? and perhaps more importantly, how can I trust the no-trackers promise when I know the dev is implementing trackers elsewhere?
That aside, nice stuff!
GoDamn this developer is on a roll !
Great collection of apps from this dev! 😎✌🏼
No ability to load the AUv3 as an effect you can record into is a strange omission for a sampler. Worse yet, the AUv3 is unusable on my device, UI is just completely frozen, doesn't respond to touch. Delete and reinstall fixed this for a few seconds, then it stopped responding again.
Standalone: Can't load files, only folders, when the buttons on the left are turned on, they can't be turned off again. No access to audioshare.
Have messaged the dev
.. also VU950 still doesn’t have the ability to load as an effect. I said something to him about a few weeks back, and he indicated he would eventually, unless i misunderstood.
On this one, to me, he just told me he has no plans to make it load as an effect that you can record into. No reason given.
Can't argue much as it's free, but that means I probably won't use it anywhere near as much as I otherwise would. Maybe if more people explain how useful that would be, he'll change his mind. Guess he either doesn't want to do the extra work or doesn't understand how truly useful that ability is. He's probably someone who does a lot of work with samples loaded from files and doesn't feel a need to sample from other apps in a host like AUM? No clue 🙃
Yeah i totally get it @Gavinski . Great app but all i truly wanted out of it was his implementation of the A/D conversion. I have collected lots of those dedicated app types over the years, such as RX950 as one example, but i like his sound. Anyway, i got something going on natively in Drambo with the help of a couple Drambonauts to give me that desired effect for resampling.
