PhraseLab, not Phase (header). Mentions TestFlight but link nowhere to be found?
The link is in the description at the bottom under (links) up to 50 places maybe they all gone
Ah, I didn't check YT. Got it now, thank you!
Thanks for sharing @Jumpercollins
Well, it’s preeeety damn cool!
Any one on the beta figured out if you can just show one track on this as a host as it seems to show all the midi data at once ? Would be nice to show separated tracks !
Not possible yet, but I’ve had some great feedback on the TestFlight already (it’s only the first iPad build) and a couple of people have mentioned wanting the ability to hide / disable / ghost note tracks they don’t want, so I’ll see what I can do
Apple should buy this.
shhhut it. I dont want to pay for a subscription when it gets integrated into Logic! :P
@higherplane That was me suggesting ghost notes.😀
@higherplane
One thing that confusing me if I put 1 chord track in as a host app and hit the dice on the chord section I get chords expecting,but I also get a lot of extra midi data around the chords is that meant to happen ? I was just expecting to see chords !
Subscription? That’s a good idea… hadn’t thought of that!
Kidding! It won’t be subscription, just a good old fashioned one off purchase
I am really digging the progressions from this app. A lot. Haven't stopped using it.
I find the melody part to be shopped and too short (notes), almost hacking on some presets I tried.
I also find it very annoying that the midi notes, so beautifully laid out - right in front of you, can't be edited. Sure you can go in, in another menu and mess with chords but that's not what I'm getting at. You can also export and edit in another app but again, not what I want in the first place, however great it is as a feature.
The idea of it all is good.
Ugh missed the beta. That's what I get for being busy at work all weekend.
This app is really going to speed up my workflow and get ideas moving in uncharted directions. Brought the desktop version which has midi to daw drag and drop option which is great for Ableton clips.
Also fun sending midi ideas out to external gear tried it with my MPC via Bluetooth record straight into the timeline.
I notice there is room for packs in the presets, @higherplane do you plan on adding IAP content here ?
Thanks - useful feedback. Made some changes to the note lengths and (to my ears anyway) it's sounding a fair bit better.
As for editing the notes... yeah, I get what you're saying. I deliberately made the decision not to make this a standard DAW piano roll but will have a think. I'm working on some other feedback at the moment so will get an update out in the coming days with the notes change.
Thanks - I don't see me making preset packs / IAP but I did add that feature so that creators can make their own and distribute them as they see fit. Once you've created a pack in PhraseLab you can use a really not-obvious button to export it and then share as you like (there's a bug with the iOS file path handling that I've fixed this morning that may mean it doesn't work in the current build)
Woah! phraselab works on IPhone!!
@higherplane you rock!
Hey there @higherplane, got any more of those beta slots? 😁
After a few tries, i like it. Its almost like PM with a piano roll. I dig it so far, but gotta get into the weeds a bit more.
Thats cool. Cheers!
