M-VAVE FM-1 Synth
Interesting ...
http://www.cuvave.com/product?id=fm-1
FM-1 is a true frequency-modulation synthesizer in your pocket. Six independent sine-wave operators combine through 32 algorithms to recreate the iconic timbres of the FM era — pianos, strings, brass, basses and electronic synths. It comes loaded with 128 factory tones and a color TFT screen that draws the live algorithm structure and oscillator waveform. A 27-key silicone piano-layout keyboard with OCT-/OCT+ over 8 octaves, MONO/POLY voicing (up to 12-voice polyphony), six built-in effects (Filter / Reverb / Delay / Distortion / Chorus / Phaser), a 7-mode arpeggiator and 16-step sequencer turn it into a complete creation rig. Triple MIDI — USB Type-C, Bluetooth BLE MIDI and 3.5mm MIDI IN — work simultaneously, a 2000mAh battery delivers ~12 hours, and a built-in speaker lets you play and listen anywhere.
Imports Sysex banks too.
So far I've only seen it available on AliExpress for about $65 (!) US. I'm leery of AliExpress, but very tempted.

I just got the Chocolate Pro pedal. I need to figure that thing out.
This looks cool. I love little toy looking synths.
wow when i glanced at it i thought it was the size of a nanokey studio. its actually really small. interesting none the less.
I think if AliExpress had it at that price, but in some other color than black, I'd have pushed the button. Gonna wait, and probably talk myself out of it by then. 🙄
Honestly though, from the longer review video, it looks like a very capable synth and one that I'd actually use since it's so small and so portable.
i don't like to cross-post but there's a user's first impression of it over on elektronauts, which you might be interested to read:

Synth for ants. Could be more fun if it was a bit bigger.
Thanks for that! For $65 it seems like it would be a pretty darn satisfying little toy. His last comment "for a VST in a box" made me chuckle and echoed my own thoughts as I debated whether to bother when I literally have all that already in my phone, sans the knobs and buttons.
a lot of things are vsts in boxes these days. even the fancypants high-end stuff, like strymon pedals or the eventide h90.
sometimes i'm tempted to see where i might get with a raspberry pi/sunvox something, and/or a tangle of wires, switches, knobs and an arduino board.
fwiw, there's always an argument to spend time with musical instruments that don't ping notifications at you, or divide your attention with the endless possibilities of an ipad/iphone/computer.
I think I really just want an orange device in my setup.
lmao. best of luck to you.
They’ve had this one out for a while:
www.cuvave.com/product?id=smk-37-elite
I’d imagine it’s probably the same FM engine as the new one.
Oooh. I like that one. I've been sort of looking for a 37 key controller for awhile.
I’ve had the SMK-25 for a while now (it’s just a Bluetooth keyboard controller, no built-in synth) and I’m pleased with it.
Decent keyfeel, nice amount of assignable controllers, and good battery life so far (when you’re connected, the iPad will show you the SMK’s battery level. Very handy!)
For the price, and getting an FM synth in the bargain, the SMK-37 seems like a no-brainer.
If I didn’t already have a Korg MicroKey Air 61 for my “larger wireless keyboard” needs, I’d definitely consider the SMK-37.
That product demo video sounds like The Weather Channel background music.
I LOVE IT!
