I'm a bit stoned and created this out of nowhere. 🤭 Got inspired by Mr Oizo. Please enjoy.

Nice, enjoyed that wiggly bass line, the great man would approve.
Loves me some Oizo!
A few years ago (2019) I attended a DJ-set from Ed Banger Records with Quentin Dupieux, Myd and Joost van Bellen. One of the best evenings in that genre I ever experienced. With that said, I like the quality of this song but miss the raw, glitchy, funky, wonky and dirty aspects of this genre. Also check out Oizo’s earlier work like Analog Worms Attack, really nice (if you’re into that). No disco, only raw beats, bass and effects. Keep up the good work though, you finish stuff, I don’t 😂
Thanks mate.
I love me some Oizo too. Just a fantastic musician (and with a funny puppet)!
Man, that's lucky! I'd have loved to be there.
Thanks mate.
Yeah, upon listening with fresh ears, my track doesn't have the raw glitchy style Oizo is known for, but then again, the track was inspired by Oizo rather than trying to copy him directly. 😅 I'm definitely going to check out "Analog Worms Attack" as I do love pretty much every genre of music from the most standard modern Pop to the really "out there" stuff such as Noise Music and Outsider Music.
(Yes, over the years, I've grown from criticizing Outsider Music to appreciating and liking Outsider Music such as Captain Beefheart, Wildman Fischer, The Shaggs, etc. The music may sound a bit rubbish to some, but at least it's still music created by humans, flaws and all. ❤️ )
Nice pumping beat, Jim! frenq
Cheers mate. Thank you.
I really really like this. It doesn’t quite hit the squelchy, dirtyness of Oizo. I can see why you described it like that though.
It’s like oizo meets something like pryda.
It’s actually very clean, defined and deliberate sounding. Every single choice in this ‘choon’ as we say in Scotland is balanced and measured against the others.
The only thing that doesn’t quite work for me is the repeated riser. Not because it’s wrong, it just feels like the ending doesn’t hit the way it should because we’ve heard it a few times before. But that’s a minor very much a personal preference.
Great work big buddy!
Yep, it's inspired by Oizo, but yeah could use a little more grit. ☺️
True, I did shoot for a cleaner mox.
Ah, okay.
I'd rather use a riser than a 90s Dance Music snare roll. 😂 That 90s snare roll is just pure cheese at this point, cheesier than a riser.
Thanks mate.
Much appreciated.
