Chat GPT, adult ADHD and Logic Pro For iPad.
I was ADHD before ADHD was “cool”.. My high school GPA was 1.9 and I couldn’t graduate . I flunked out the math part of my GED but I aced the reading comprehension, 97% owing that to lots of reading during that period (Listening With A Third Ear , Theodore Reik, RD Laing, Summerhill etc).
People like me REALLY appreciate Chat GPT .. It explains things to your ADHD brain that NO human could , in that it actually BECOMES your brain talking to you . It learns the way you think , your strengths, your shortcomings and talks in a language that you can finally understand . Don’t knock it . I really discovered it strengths while (presently ) learning Logic Pro For IPad vs trying to use just the Apple guide alone .

ADHD or not, those AI can be a great learning tool for everyone. But from personal experience, at all times, the user should be extremely cautious and critical about the info they get and try to cross check. they still make lots of mistakes that can be misleading.
For sure. You realize this when you ask about a domain you're very knowledgeable about. If I ask questions about iOS music production, the answers are mostly garbage. Luckily, I can tell that quickly, because I know a lot about iOS music plugins. But obviously, when asking about topics you're less knowledgeable about, the answers may sound convincing, while actually still being total garbage.
Yeah, the amount of wrong answers is concerning. I’ve stopped using it for anything work related.
Yep and on top of all the hallucinations it makes me cautious to feed AI with too much personal info. Giving deep insight into my person, age, location, preferences, abilities, political views etc. So much more data/power for big tech and whoever will be able to access it.
Perfect material for a dystopian future.
But yeah I’m using it too and appreciate its help 😬
Also team ADHD 👋
That's exactly the same context that made me question it. I am not as knowledgeable as you on all apps but I have been on iOS music production for more than 10 years, I think I know the platform quite well and the amount of mistakes AI can make is staggering.
And to be even more on topic with the OP, I also used AI to try to optimise my LP4i usage and it was pretty much hit or miss. Once, it even invented a function which is not even in the desktop version... So cross check and critical thinking are your best friends whatever the domain you use it for.
I recently went through a bout of asking AI to recommend apps and tweaks for music production stuff. At first it was interesting but then it turned into that guy in the bar that thinks he knows everything….
The thing I used to use ChatGPT for, back when I used to mess with AI, was randomly picking things out like key signatures, bpms, genres, etc. Like if I was stuck and needed direction. Kind of like using a deck of cards or DnD dice to randomly pick out key signatures and bpm ranges and such. 😅
99% of the time ChatGPT gives me the wrong answer, every time I point out the answer is wrong ChatGPT replies saying “you are correct etc.
If you need write a letter of complaint to the council or your MP or a letter of introduction, then ChatGPT is perfect solution, it is fast and to the point with bullet point statements and ready to send in a email or printout for post - that’s where CharGPT really shines 👍
I find the more niche the subject the more garbage. I have been using 3D packages and game engines since the 90s and I am routinely gobsmacked at how good ChatGPT is there. I know a ton about them and the answers I get are definitely not garbage, not always perfectly accurate, but basically the more chatter in the world on a subject the better the answers. iOS music production is super niche so would barely be a spec in the training data or in the quick searches it now does.
That computes, yes.
