Why do some threads have divers boots on?

You know - the big clunky weighted ones. I have noticed that some threads do not seem to surface at the top of the forum page despite having recent contributions.

    That means a mod has chosen to sink the thread. So this is not as drastic as deleting or closing a thread, but means that basically they'd like the thread to quietly disappear sooner rather than later...

    The easiest way to stay up to date with new posts on such threads is to star them. That way, even if they're not on page one, you'll get notifications when someone makes a post on the thread.

    Really, huh. I did not know this, i thought it was, at least partially, from the forum framework changes that happened a little while back.

    I think I know which thread, and I think it shouldn't be sunk. It shows love and support for someone we all care about.
