@rottencat Heads up, friend.
Way ahead of ya.
Thanks though!🙂
I’m getting cracking on my iPhone 16pro. Could be because iOS27beta I’m on but yeah. Constantly crackling one I launch standalone
There are several issues with this app when used in AUv3 mode in Cubasis, I contacted the developer and a new update that will put these things right should be on the App Store within a couple of days 👍
Here is the new Etherpad website
https://etherpad.app/
This is really pretty dang nice. I have noticed the crackling on and off so I'm glad it's getting fixed. I've also noticed that the controls exposed for CCs in AUM don't seem to work at all. No response to control changes. It would be fun to change keys automatically while improvising.
Hi @MrStochastic,
I have been in contact with Dinesh Yadvav the developer, I have given him a list of things that are not working as described, he told me on Monday that a new update will fix these issues and also included some new features, it should be on the App Store tomorrow.
This is what he wrote:
I've reworked Etherpad's MIDI output to fix both:
- Horizontal slides now send proper pitch bend, so glissandos record and playback.
- Added an MPE Output option (in the plugin's parameters) - turn this On for Cubasis, so each finger records as its own voice with independent pitch. That's what makes chords + expression record correctly (fingers crossed)

I am blown away by the quality of the different sounds, especially in split mode. I have both TC-11 and TC-Data apps, both are slightly similar to Etherpad except Etherpad is more playable IMO, I have high hopes for it 👍
Mike
this sounds great! thanks for letting him know.
When using it as a midi controller in AUM, the lower notes are on the right.. but not when it’s used as audio instrument tho.
Yes I know, I am in contact with the developer at this moment, the same behaviour is happening in Cubasis 3 also, fingers crossed it gets sorted 🤞
Thanks rapidfire for keeping up with this app. It’s a good one. Props to the dev for giving this to us.
Yes I really want this app to succeed, just doodling around in split screen mode is great fun, but I want to record it in Cubasis 3 and at the moment that is not possible…..yet, I still have hope.
Mike
Update v1.8.1 should be available tomorrow (Thursday) it should get rid of a few bugs.
One thing to remember, when step-time recording or playing a keyboard, only use the key range that the Etherpad surface responds to otherwise unusual scales will occur.
Mike
I still find this app a bit quirky even after the update but it’s a handy little thing for free so I thought I’d give it an outing with some other free apps…

Nice!
Oh very…………very…………nice, what a perfect combination of instruments, the Etherpad sounds beautiful as it calmly glides around, you have made me want to use Etherpad even more, thank you for sharing 🍻
Mike
Update v1.8.1 is now available, there is a small issue when playing back a recorded session in Cubasis, this is now being checked by the developer, he certainly goes the extra mile to get this app working right considering it’s a free apps. There is also a Settings tab in AUv3 mode 👍
I will keep you updated on the next update.
