Hi, some of you may find this extremely useful for workflow. I do not know exactly how much you can control but it looks like a lot. Not ai and used locally on your computer. A university project that looks extremely polished and functional.

*After further investigation (Grok had said this was legitimate), I checked with deepseek and it mentioned a couple of possible red flags.

Incomplete Legal Identity: The "Impressum" (legal notice required for German websites) contains placeholder text like [Vor- und Nachname] and [Straße & Hausnummer] instead of real information. This means the operator is not properly identified, which is a major red flag for accountability.
Inaccessible Source Code: The project claims to be a bachelor's thesis, but the associated GitHub repository (github.com/penopetenopete/sl-rec) could not be accessed【Error fetching URL】. This contradicts the privacy policy's claim that downloads are provided via GitHub and prevents independent security review of the code.

It looks legitimate and the accompanying videos are very impressive but I will not be downloading without further checks.

    Thanks, yes deepseek mentioned that and also that its likely to be a genuine project but after further prompting said:

    even if completely legitimate and it probably is, I am not giving that permission. I have found an app on the App Store that does a similar thing but does not need that permission but only works for Ableton not Logic. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/grip-control-ableton-live/id6758132290
