Shout out to Aqeel Aadam for Coastline

Just a shout out to Aqeel Adam for the Coastline plugin. AhhhmmaaaaAAAAaazing.
That's right. Want to create your own pads ::: even with a guitar :::: (or violin) ==> this is it baby

Yeah, what an amazing plugin. Feed it a single note, even a short one, and it "loops" the note, even infinitely; aka creates a drone....and wait..... you can add to it. (Major, Minor, Mixolydian, Trixolydian.... you name it).

There's a boat load o' fx you can add to the note(s) being droned that give it pad /synth like textures, and you can also automate these for even more bodacious sounds. Did I mention this includes granular fx as well? Well, it does.

So many plugins seem to be more of the same ole' same ole' - but this is mucho de sweeto. Much better than Frostbite (Audiothing).

ALWAYS - looking for plugins that take guitar ( or really violin) [not just keys/synths] as input and truly morph the sound (not just delay and reverb)

So yeah, shout out to the dev on this one!!!

  • I think the use case of an ambient/drone accompanist is probably the sweet spot for Coastline, but the presets don’t really lean into it effectively. I’ve built some of my own that shorten the duration and create little clouds of accompaniment that are quite useful and unique. But it took some coaxing

  • @aqeelaadam has some of the best app presentations/ tutorials in the iOS space imo. I'm sure he has a comprehensive one out there. I've seen several. I don't own it yet, but I reckon it's the best effect to date.
