Reverie Pro first go: The Sprawl

“The sky over the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel.” - William Gibson.

Neon sunsets lambent in the smeared smog of the Sprawl have a kind of malformed beauty, a freakshow fascination. We are all dying here, but sometimes in the slaughterhouse, even the sheep look up. Just to take in the view.

I’m so old I remember when Cyberpunk was the future…

So I saw @thesoundtestroom’s mention of Reverie, and thought I’d try it. Swiftly bought the £9.99 ‘Pro’ version which unlocks all the modules and presets. It basically seems to be an easier to use version of PaulXStretch, which I love, but hasn’t been working well for me recently for some reason. I took some half finished loops I’d abandoned from earlier experiments, and chucked them through it, generating a few versions, then took those into AUM along with Hammerhead, Sidekick, a couple of Decent Samplers, and the Audiokit Pro V. Usual live jam/mix with Alteza, job’s a good’n’.
