I have what might be a dumb question about FX plugins.

So I mostly work with audio in Logic Pro (guitar and bass), but also use midi instruments. I've noticed that there's some FX plugins that I can't use as an audio FX plugin in Logic Pro. Apps like Audio Damage's Traverse, Descent. With apps from Unfiltered Audio like Battle FX or Bass Mint I can add them as an audio FX but the plugin doesn't do anything.

Those plugins all work fine as insert FX in a midi track, so I'm not sure what the difference is.

  • Check that the track is ‘stereo’ as some effects won’t work on mono tracks.

I see. Yeah all my guitar and bass tracks are mono.
