Ipad 2 garageband and audiobus - old timer needs help!
Hi
Can I use audiobus and peak eq to add more bass to a recording I have already made in garageband?
New to these concepts so be gentle with me !
Comments
I'm assuming you're talking about AUFX:PeakQ? If so, is that, GarageBand, and Audiobus all that you're using?
Yes that is correct. I have recorded my song in garageband and was hoping to add some more bass using audiobus and AUFX PeakQ.
Then, yes, you should be able to boost your bass. Put GarageBand in the Audiobus input slot, AUFX:PeakQ in the FX slot, then GarageBand again in the output slot.
GarageBand doesn't go in the input slot! Be awesome if it did but it don't:(
Thanks, @Bootsy. I wasn't sure that was still the case.
@midiman1962 Do you have AudioShare or any other app that records?
Thanks guys, I'm with bootsy ... Garageband isn't available as an input.
Is there a setting to change in garageband to allow this?
No, there isn't a setting.
I have wave lab ?
I'm not familiar with it. I recommend AudioShare.

Any app that goes in the input slot and can copy audio from iOS will work. Loopy, Thumbjam ( I think), Anytune (free download, edit: but requires in-app purchase).
Guys thanks for your help. I'm making some progress having downloaded audioshare, and getting my head around audiobus.
@midiman1962, when you export your garageband file you should be able to "open in" audioshare. From there you can use IAA to add your eq or whatever effects you have that are IAA compatible.
@bootsy, thanks fir that. I was emailing it to myself which was a bit of a faff!
