Apptronica posted a short audio sample (via Discchord.com):
So cheap!
Big sound test video tomorrow
I just don't seem to have $55 on me for this tonight (cue violins).
Demo sounds kind of meh. Quality not quite on par with iSymphonic..though that could just be this particular demo and not the actual sounds. Hope Doug's video tomorrow proves this wrong!
Edit: Didn't think Greg was being sarcastic, then I saw the price. Lame that there's not an introductory price or even a producer's video..
I'll be posting a review on iosmars.com tonight, in which I'll have a little sound demo. I'll say in advance that it won't sound nearly as good as I anticipate Doug's will, but it'll give you something to listen to.
I got my review done quicker than I thought would. Here is the demo I included in my review:
Of course, if you're interested you can check out my review over at our site.

Nice, sort of app I like but out of my budget unfortunately.
Here is my demo

Didn't take long for a BIG price drop: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id945125583?mt=8

That price drop is amazing.
Aint the market an amazing thing......
wow...wish I had an excuse. the Soundtestroom video was pretty impressive.
Oooh, now that is tempting...
...aprt from it doesn't seem to be AB compatible and I haven't got space in my iPad for the whopper...
I just downloaded it. It sounds great with a variety of samples and effects presets. The only thing that's bad is the onscreen piano keyboard is too small because they jammed 7 octaves on the screen. Does anyone know if there's a way of making the keyboard larger?
normal pinch/spread gesture between the 2 arrows just above the keyboard then one finger in same region to slide keyboard up or down
I can't believe the only demo video I can find for this is by Doug - is there nothing available by the developer?

Is it possible to play the sounds dry, without reverb or other effects?
I'm very interested in this but it'd be useful to hear some more examples of the samples, particularly dry.

Yes you can turn it off within the app.

Thanks for the confirmation.
seriously? no AB support??
@Thomas said:
Can't see it listed.
What's putting me off is that a lot of the sets seem to sound very similar. It's a shame the author doesn't have samples on their site, but listening to Doug's vid they are all a bit samey.

Thanks!
Nope no AB.

No, but IAA implementation works pretty well for me, at least in their iSymphonic app. You do need to carefully mind the input level and adjust the volume knob in the app to avoid clipping. On some of the presets in the iSymphonic app I have to turn the volume down to 25%.
This is the dev who ported Jack over. I suspect that is why AB is not supported.
No AB support is a deal breaker for me. IAA is more CPU intensive (and a royal pain in the arse) and usually crashes my old pad. Shame, I'd like to add more eastern instruments into my workflow, though there does seem to be a bit of an overall Bollywoodesque sound to this one, which is not really what I'm after.
There's just an Erhu in this from what I can see. All the other stuff are good ol' violas/violins/cellos. Correct me if I'm wrong..

I think the ethnic tunings are what sets it apart from iSymphonic, plus judging from the preset names are mostly smaller ensembles and quartets, where iSymphonic has a lot of full orchestral presets. I don't own both though so I can't compare directly. Bit of an odd duck, but might be a nice alternative for those who can't afford iSymphonic.

I'm fairly new to the game but what about AudioCopy? I gave up on trying to sync everything with Cubasis.

In addition to the Erhu it has serval variations of Turkish, Arabian, Tremelo, and Oriental strings including ensembles. It's worth the $10 I payed for it.
