Midi bug?
I posted this on the Loopy Pro FB group yesterday and didn’t get any comments. I know some folks here don’t use FB so please pardon the repost. I’d really like to get some help on this as it’s been a long-running random problem. I’m hoping someone here has some thoughts.
In my template, I use a midi sequence to drive clip changes. On rare occasions (very rare), the midi events won’t fire and the clip change doesn’t happen. Starting stopping the midi clip fixes it. The orange clip is quantized to start on the number of measures the recording is.
I hooked up showmidi in the event it happened again so I could see what’s going on. This issue pops up very randomly; sometimes I’ll go two or three 3 hour gigs in a row and never see it, sometimes it’s twice in one night. There are a few moving parts in my template, but this pretty straightforward: the notes in the orange clip trigger the loops.
What I’m seeing here in this clip is bars 13 through 15 of the orange midi clip are not getting transmitted. You’ll see the other notes are. When I finally stopped the orange clip and restarted it, all notes are triggered.
Any thoughts on a workaround appreciated!
