Combo Organ Model V hatches on the Bus!
Buck ninety-nine, Audiobus, and it's a Combo Organ! Why not?
https://appsto.re/us/wGmO2.i
I don't know which model Combo Organ it's modeled after, but this vid shows various ones demo'd
by a preeminent Combo débutante! (This is NOT a demo of the actual app, but I really thought I should share)
Comments
@noisehorse, thank you for the heads-up and link.
As for the vid, she had me at "The Vox Continental is the greatest keyboard instrument ever made in the history of the world."
Ya, I identified with her immediately!
"I think it was Doctor Johnson who once said, 'If a man is tired of a Vox Continental he might as well rip his face off with a screwdriver."
That video was awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Grey like Squirrels.
I actually bought the app. It's Red. Apparently not like Squirrels.
I put it this on my wish list. Can't beat the price. This isn't just the sound of the sixties ... Didn't some of the Madchester bands from the late 80s/early 90s use these types of organs? I know Inspiral Carpets had their Farfisa cranked up to 11 more often than not.
(the red one sounds better
What a wonderful video!
How does this app compare to Galileo?
Galileo is far better. Not impressed with this one. Just tried it. There other app,Pocket Organ C3B3 is a lot better tho.
@DD829 I think you have a point. Galileo is probably the best and most versatile app for Organs out there, but I don't think it can get that Vox/combo sound that this app has. This fills a niche.
@NoiseHorse any overlap between this app's sound and some of the electric organs in iElectric or GarageBand?
@DD829 It does. Galileo simulates both tonewheel/tube and transistor type organs.
Bought it. Like it. Will almost certainly never use it.

Pretty much my reaction too.
Galileo has organ-type settings for upper/lower/pedals on its 'organ' page on the far right. There are five settings for Hammonds (B), three settings for Vox (V) and three for Farfisa (F). It does a pretty good job of emulating these organs.

Very good. Almost perfectly describes my moral compass.....
@eustessor I think iLectric gets closer to this sound than GarageBand. I'm happy to see Galileo can hit this sound. Man, when I think about all the great Organ/Elec.Piano apps we have now it's really just amazing. There's not many I DON'T like. I remember I loved C3B3 when it first came out, and now there's everything!
@MrNezumi Thanks for the tip. Nice to know I have an emulation of the greatest keyboard ever created in the history of humankind right inside of Galileo
@NoiseHorse Thanks, I'll poke around inside of iLectric just to keep my options open, although I seem to recall they had the grey (like a squirrel) combos. You're right, it's an embarrassment of riches when it comes to organ emulators on iOS. Have you checked out any of the Markus Sigg pipe organ apps? Amazing.
Good one.
Actually, where I live the squirrels are red...

No it's not. The Hohner Clavinet is. ;-)
Maybe ... if you run it through a distortion pedal.
Hohner Clavinet + wha-wha pedal + tube guitar amp = instant concentrated FUNK.
Sorry for the off topic post, but I just had to write that.
