Cubasis crashes Animoog
Hi,
I haven't used Animoog and Cubasis together for a month or two. Today I tried to use the two together for the first time in a while and each time I launch Cubasis, Animoog crashes. I've tried restarting my iPad, but to no avail.
Any ideas would be most welcome,
Simon

Have you updated your ipad recently?
Also are you openening cubasis first and then animoog? I am not having any problems but I did not upgrade to ios 8
I've tried both combinations, Cubasis then Animoog and vice versa, no joy. And unfortunately I have updated to OS8 latest version, which was a big error (DM1 still broken as well)
Another ios 8 problem thread, they have ruined so much it is truly sad. All I can say is that you are not alone as far as having suffered from apples updates. I know some things are reported by some people to work on ios 8, hopefully it gets a workable consistant update soon! Was considering an Air 2 in my future but not until this is fixed.
IAA or AB?
Works here both ways. Air 1, iOS 8.1.2, Current AB. Only glitch is Animoog does not show the IAA control panel. It does show the AB panel. Launched normally. For IAA start Cubasis, create a midi track, select Animoog.
For AB. Start AudioBus, start Animoog from the input slot, start Cubasis from the out. Cubasis automatically creates an audio track. I created a midi, set to no instrument, routed to Animoog.
Thanks for all your help gents.
In this case, the plot truly thickens, like double cream...
I was previously just booting up the two apps together, without IAA or AB. After seeing TedBPhx's post I booted up Cubasis first, then Audiobus, patched Animoog into Cubasis and set up the MIDI. Success! Cubasis didn't crash and I was able to play Animoog through a Cubasis MIDI keyboard and hear the results through an armed audio channel. Although Animoog was silent when I played its own keyboard with the above configuration.
I then tried the IAA method and now that worked. I was able to patch in Animoog as an IAA instrument and record via playing either in Cubasis or Animoog. And now, I can close and open Animoog and Cubasis in different orders and Animoog doesn't crash. It's like something has fixed itself. I don't get it. Fingers crossed it continues to work!!!
Can you Please tell me how you set a midi track to no instrument?
