Ampkit and it's IAP's are on sale

I've been thinking about getting this with the bass amps, but not sure now. I like the set list feature, but don't know if I'll be using iOS amp sims onstage enough to make it worthwhile. My iPad is tied up in the band I'd use it with running the PA, so I'd be using my iPhone with an apogee one, not sure about that.
Anyway, it's on sale as are its IAP's, and they do model some different bass amps than other apps. Too bad the apps can't all be used together...

I like AmpKit. At first I didn't care for the slider knobs to adjust the volume, gain, and so on. But, I think it is actually a very easy to use app, for that reason. And it sounds good. I only have the acoustic bundle. Not sure what it's called.
I'm happy with JamUp so, I can't see myself buying anymore bundles. I may give THM Overloud a go. Derek B. has great things to say about it.
I used to strictly just use my ipod touch with JamUp for playing, and it worked pretty darn good. I have one of those suction cup car phone holder things, so I'd suction it onto my Fender, use my iriffport, and connect my Reciever and stereo speakers, and be all set.
Yeah, it looks good. I wound up receiving an amazon gift card from someone and decided to order the zoom b1on instead so I can keep my iOS stuff free for other uses on gigs.
I did do some patch design in jamup the other night and was able to get some cool sounds by tweaking things differently than I had- the acoustic guitar sim on jumbo, along with a little sansamp and the eq pedal from the metal signature pack (that's such a cool pack with a very misleading name) and a tiny amount if room verb, plus flatwounds and a mute on my bass gives a very cool approximation of an upright.
I like the way Ampkit displays presets (the little pedal icons) but I don't really use it. Invested in JamUp and ToneStack.
The thing that had me intrigued with ampkit was the set list feature, which is a great idea. But, on iOS I am likewise invested on jamup and tonestack and now I've gone the hardware route for the stage. That's if it proves necessary anyway, my vt bass always works in any situation I'm in. I have recorded with jamup though and it works well for that.
The splitter on tonestack is awesome though for distorted bass sounds.
It showed 14.99 US for the all equipment bundle. I had purchased about half of the gear in late 2013 on various sales. There were just a few items I still didn't have, so I don't know if the "unlock all" thing was 15 for me only b/c I already had so much. If that's the price for everyone, that's a hell of a deal.
AmpKit is very good. It's since been supplanted by ToneStack and several other options, but I bought the bundle and will try to go back to it. I also keep some guitar apps on my phone that I don't have space for on iPad.
One interesting thing is that it has a "solo/mix" toggle that is responsible for the beefier sound AmpKit has out of the box. I flip it to Mix for AudioBus, as the bass boost gets a little muddy and overpowering. The interface is a mixed bag - touch-friendly, but also hides a lot off screen, which can be annoying.
14.99? It was 24.99 yesterday. At 14.99 it would be well worth it just as another option. Hmmm...
Edit: Still shows 34.99 here. A banner popped up saying 50% off, which I closed, then another said 20% off.
This is on the free ampkit though, if you have ampkit+ that's already 9.99, maybe that's the 14.99? Anyway, maybe it's better that I don't impulse buy!
I managed to dial in a bad ass blues Strat tone in AmpKit that I haven't been able to match in any of the others. For me, each app does something that the others can't.
Yes, agreed.

Yes. That may be why. And agree with above that all apps do something useful and different.
