AUFX: Push (Compressor Effect) in production
Kymatica dev confirmed he is working on a new compressor app! Maybe this is old news but first I heard of it.
That is very exciting to me - the AUFX series is so lightweight and effective. There also aren't many compression apps for the FX slot that I can think of. Amazing Noises put out that Limiter app but that's the only thing remotely close.
I love AUFX apps because the function in AudioBus kind of the way pedals work on a guitar signal chain, which is what I'm used to.

Sounds like a Compressor/Limiter?
Maybe it will also include Exciter & Rumbler for sparkle and well 'rumble'
And 'Loudness Maximiser' for extra ooomph...
Cool, I have I think all of the other AUFX apps. Probably some of the most straight forward, easy to use apps out there. That do a great job in each of their causes.
Great developer and a great addition, truly a most welcome piece of software but iOS still needs a really good Pro grade tremolo effect even the new Flux fx neglected this weak spot in the world of app effects
Huzzah! Love the name. Not sure I get the icon.
@banjofran J_lilla has said that a tremolo is on the list. You can get a tremolo out of most of the guitar apps and could make a righteous one in something like Audulus. Having a simple/efficient/great sounding one (aka aufx) would be absolutely winning though. Especially if it had a Boss style waveform selector.
I'd actually like to see aufx:overdrive next. Caramel suits me wonderfully for more sizzle/destructive sounds but a warmer/rounder sounding simple/efficient/great sounding overdrive could bring a lot of sonic yummy to iOS. I'm thinking the sort of thing that can add just a little girth to synth sounds, a little bit of hair to drums.
And then, I want to win the lottery and buy a pirate ship with a canon on it. I want to stuff the canon full of hundred dollar bills and I want shoot it at Kymatica HQ with one note that says "Thank you" and another that says "Please consider adding bandwidth limiting to all of the Aufx apps so that we can effect only specific frequencies. Thx, Cap. Syrup."
While that feature is great fun with time based effects like delay and reverb (try it by duplicating a track in Auria if you haven't before and just add echo to a part of a vocal like 1k-2k), it's actually very practical with a compressor for things like de-essing or bring out the picking in the a guitar. Maybe it'll actually be in aufx:push and maybe then it could get ported to the others...

Mine would say, "Please add (syncable) LFOs on all ur FX apps a la Amazing Noises. Thx, Audio Wench."
edit: also, can i get a ride on ur boat? tks.
Come to think of it, maybe it's just one tweak to one aufx app: AUFX:EQ. It could add "filter mode" with only a high and low pass filter available. With that, a secondary output would be added that had only the unfiltered audio. That secondary output could go to the input slot of another AB chain and you could add whatever you want to it. Anything not filtered would continue down the original AB chain. Someone will tell me in a minute that I just need to learn Sunvox. I'd rather get a pirate ship though.
And totally agree with you @papertiger: LFOs would be swimming. That could also be addressed by a separate LFO app that only generated MIDI LFOs. We need that app anyway! cc/ @midiSequencer
AUFX: "Overdrive" would be awesome. Holderness (Caramel) and Klevgrand (SquashIt) released distortion/OD/Bitcrush effects this year, but a warm, traditional sounding overdrive in the FX slot would be a welcome addition.
I hope it can do sidechain compression in Cubasis!
