  • Great job !!! I can imagine you also playing it with a classical string guitar. Keep up the good work!

  • @pexfra very clear. Which mike are using there in the shot?

  • Beautiful piece @pexfra. What apps are you using and who influenced that piece?

  • Love it. Bravo!

Thank you for your comments! :)
For answer you, I've used Rode NT-USB mic connected to my iphone 6 plus and only multitrack daw app for audio recording.
Finally for video editing I've used iMovie app always on my iphone.

  • Excellent!

  • Great playing. I'm sorry if this is an obvious question but did you record the video as an overdub or record three videos while recording into MTD?

  • Thanks!!!
Not an obvious question at all!
My workflow is first focus me on the audio part that is the most important and then the video editing part

Hi Fancesco. Great work. I'm trying to get the Rode NT-USB to work with my iPhone 6s, but having problems. Were you using a lightening adapter and USB hub? Any idea of the makes or clues to your set-up? You're the only person I've seen make it work - and you've made it sound fantastic, so I want to persevere.

Here's how to connect it to an ipad should be the exact same procedure for the iphone 6s.

    Hi Neal!
Absolutely no problem with original apple lightning adapter on Iphone 6 plus!

  • Hey, thats sound really great! Thx for Sharing!

  • That's great, Francesco. I'll look for the original lightening adapter. Any idea of the make of the USB hub (I presume you used a powered hub?).

It's more easy! Not USB hub needed...
Rode Nt-USB Mic -----> USB Cable ----> lightning adapter ----> Iphone

    @Bartlinux Thank you!!

  • flawless playing and a nice video B)
I like the sound of the rhythm part, but what's played on the main screen seems a bit 'flat' in sound.
Probably I'm kind of outdated, but still prefer a proper preamp versus any USB mic.
The 2nd video shows how fiddling their operation can be - in particular if you have to adjust those dials time and again between live monitoring and playback.

Don't underestimate those screens - the Rode 'on body' is a stylish piece of trash, eliminates some air bursts, but that's about it.
(used a metal one myself and replaced it by a fabric type some day)
The thing had an obscene price but it was way more effective - the magnifier glass revealed an unusual, random woven pattern.
Screens with exchangeable foam pads also work exceptionally well and are a bit more affordable. 50 bucks may seem huge, but adressing a mic is a crucial aspect in vocal recording.

This is by no means a diss towards Rode, but to complete the story - imh ears there's quite something lost on the main guitar part, the performance deserves more.

Really? I didn't think that the iPhone would have enough power for the Rode mic without a powered hub. I'll try it!

    Thanks,

  • Hello! Does the mic work when recording video in an iphone?
