Pushing Gadget's Drum Machines
Happy New Year all.
Since the release of Elastic drums and all the effect-tastic functionality it has ive found myself experimenting much more with the drum gadgets in Korg Gadget.
Essentially it was: "wow, its cool what ED lets you effect and automate - but it ends up as a rendered loop. I wonder how far I can push drum effect automation inside Gadget and keep it all editable".
So to share:
Grain shifting drums in London = glitchy fun
Messing with short delay on drums in London is great. Also to some extent long delay.
I realised you can automate the start and length parameters on all samples in Bilbao the other day.
Try assigning these parametres to an X-Y pad on a Korg Nanopad or using midi over Bluetooth with a midi controller app on a second device.
Much automation fun to be had. Which can then be manually tweaked afterwards.
Anyone have any other tips in this area?
Edit: remember also you can only use 1 effect at a time (bit of a bummer) but you can automate the switching of effects quite nicely at any point. (There's probably some potential of creative uses of this happening very quickly too).

I'll show myself out...
Sorry. Manually tweaked. (IPhone auto correct!).

Export a drum clip then import into Abu Dhabi and you can not only remix it but double up on the effects as well.
