Memory&Disk Scanner Pro (stay away!!!)
I downloaded this app today to 'clean' my ipad from some digital dirt accumulated over the past few months. Well, the app runs a system scan for you and basically without even asking, cleans it. The problem is that it started all sorts of problems with my system. Audiobus has several extra presets that are white circles without a title. Presets that had mimix in them have got a grey box instead, after a restart it is sending me to AppStore to buy the app even if I already have it. Same thing with Magellan. After a clean wipe and reinstall from a backup these problems were still here until I updated to latest Audiobus. The white preset circles are still there but the rest is ok now. I hope it did not affect anything else.
Do yourselves a favour, leave those magic 'tools' for android. Don't mess with IOS as undoing mistakes is clearly impossible to fix because of lack of access to system files. I can't fathom how did this get through the Apple 'review'

Thanks for the warning!, sorry to hear about your troubles.
I have no issues like this with Memory & Disk Scanner.

Have you done the very deep scan?
Yikes.
Odd. On the US iTMS it's rated 4 stars by 32 users. Granted, that's not a lot of users but one would figure there would be a dumptruck's worth of negative reviews if the app did do such things. This aside from the issue of passing App Store approval.
Found out the hard way that using the "Junk" setting (deep clean) on both Battery Doctor and CM Security erases data stored in certain apps, in my case the $50 worth of IAPs in Unity synth. Which takes about an hour to restore...since that experiment I only use the "Memory Boost" in either app.
I'm sure there's plenty of happy customers out there but I ain't one of them. I've also never had any issues with any of my ipads and consider myself to be a power user. I've learned my lesson and will not fix unless broken. It's cleaned about 700mb of apparently useless data by breaking things but the real beauty is that I had to reinstall everything which cleared another 1gb.
@supadom I've tried every setting without any issues on my iPad air with iOS 8.1.2.
A 'very deep' scan deleted all my Animoog IAP timbres. Luckily these can be restored easily.
Very deep fu my life.
I always do a deep scan with the "memory" app. It really clears up a lot of ram. But never had any issues.

I guess it doesn't like the un-updated ipads
Seems like most apps data arent vulnerable to the Big Sweep, Unity Synth (and Animoog timbres aside)
Yes, but having chicken pox all over my audiobus preset menu doesn't inspire me to use that stuff anymore. 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' should be a motto for anyone still on ios7.
Okay... This app also wiped my 30 custom presets in iProphet. 3 months of work, no backup (except iCloud which is no good for retrieving). How could those be 'Junk files'??
Supa if you still want to clean do you have any other recommendations?
Nope, that experience made me realise there's no need for android style panic. To be honest whenever I'm maxed out on ram it is because I'm running too many audio apps simultaneously and not because there's some secret activity going on on the background. I came to this conclusion because it's always been like that even when I bought my latest Air 1 couple of months ago. And as far as storage space is concerned I'm still happy with 16gb. I'm not a hoarder, more like recycler . I see myself more like a ninja with all of the discipline, lean, clean and efficient as opposed to Kung fu panda sitting on a mountain of apps with all the gunk around the edges. Yikes, I'm back to my meditation room!
Ha! I must be the Kung Fu Panda then....I like to think I'm more of on my way to this in the palm of my hand....
I can't see these pups in your set up
...now we're talkin...
Inner peace
This too shall pass
Works very well for me. Never did a deep scan. Caution is always wise. But, this is functional.
