Just to say that I have no issues playing Thumbjam with Gestrument on iPads Air 1 and 2, both latest iOS. Why is your instrument 1 disabled? I'm presuming if you're only using instrument 2 then you have something loaded into Thumbjam's second slot?
I don't see Gestrument in you midi output connection of TJ. I would try turning on the note output for the network connection.
Shouldn't you turn on midi sync?
Gestrument doesn't show up in midi ins in Thumbjam, and I don't need to have Network on. I don't have sync on neither but it works.
You do need at least one instrument enabled for Gestrument to send anything, it seems. You've disabled the internal synth so it should be fine.
If that isn't it, perhaps take Audiobus out of the equation (since it isn't doing anything in this case anyway), and just run them both normally with no Audiobus running.
I figured it out, the problem was the ports in gestrument were set to thumbjam, not virtual midi. Thanks for the replies
Hmm, sending to ThumbJam ports from Gest should have worked just fine too. In that case you don't need to configure TJ's input from gestrument's virtual port. Maybe it was really something else?
You're right, switching back to Thumbjam's ports in Gestrument works now as well. I thought I was methodical about switching things on one at a time, but apparently it was something else. It was probably the instrument channel in Gestrument (getting used to both apps). Cheers
This app looks very intresting.
