Casio CZ ipad app - confirmed that it will be complete (possibly released) for NAMM
Not much more to add here - just wanted to give you guys a heads up that Mike Martin from Casio just confirmed (in a gearslutz thread, of all places) that this is coming soon. Quote (in response to a poster upset that Casio might be 'abandoning' phase distortion synthesis):

I'm PSYCHED for this one (extra if they replicate some of the physical quirks - and the chorus! - of the original synths, ala FM4) - used to have a CZ5000, and adored it, but man that thing was huge... An ios emulation could be so rad.

My understanding is that it's not a CZ replica but an editor.

CZ touch editor is out now, and not by Casio, so it's something different, so a 'replica' is still on the cards I guess...
Oh, that would be mighty cool.
Nope, it's an actual synth from all appearances. Fingers crossed, i think it WILL be mighty cool!
I heard that it syncs perfectly with beat hawk ;-)
Beat...who?

That thing sounds amazing! ;-)
Truly ambient sounds.
I'll use it for my next creation:
"Music for Shopping Malls"

Yes! I've been waiting for BH synchronization for a long time. This will make my decision to purchase Beat Hawk a no-brainer:)
Really @mrufino1? All I can hear is the banana and potato salesmen in the background
Any ideas as to the CZ it emulates?

lol, that's actually a classic ambient CZ tone !
Yes, I thought it was funny that the guy was doing everything with the synth but making sound. I love music product reviews that do the same thing, talk about a bass for 10 minutes but don't pluck a note. I love when Doug does a review and just uses the synth, figuring it out as he goes. That tells me what it would be like. Anyway, doesn't Thor already do this type of synthesis? Casio was the phase distortion, right?
