Does Egoist Ipad data load on Egoist PC?
Has anyone tried this? I am dying to find out but the demo limitations dont seem to allow me to test it.

So yes you can. I just started recording my egoist bits in reaper with the pc version and the nice thing is you can multitrack record it live with seperate slicer/bass/drums with seperate fx this way. Also jumping between patterns is super super fast, even with massive wav files. I am using the trusty tenori on to jump through patterns. Quite fun.
In fact you can even set up each slice of the slicer onto its own track for massive editing potential.
@AudioGus, sounds very interesting, how do you route it? With audiomux?
I bought the Egoist vst plugin for PC. I just use ifunbox to copy the data over. So the ipad version is more the remote sketching tool with the PC version being what I record. The sound quality is better too so win win. The bass sounds more robust.. Although I have been prone to placebo in the past. 8)
As for recording each elements seperately the nice thing with Reaper is you can load a seperate egoist on each track (unlike with iaa instruments on ipad) and record the audio seperately internally within reaper, kind of like how cubasis does it.
then you can use whatever midi controller on the ipad to send midi to pc to jump between patterns etc. i just use a roland um-one but i assume the mux app(s?) could do just as well.
Thx AudioGus, I'll have to look into the PC version if it's at the right price
