A Garageband anomaly
I have a song that has had two 'ghost' notes show up - the first one I got rid of by shutting everything down & restarting the iPhone, but this hasn't cured the second occurance - which seems to be in the same musical bar that I may have copied a few times. I've even tried recording over the offending spot, but that didn't work the first time. Also, notes in the same (copied) bars have shifted in time, all the same note... wasn't wrong before. Anybody know what's up?

I've not experienced this, but my first thought is maybe another synth is open in the background and being triggered by Garageband.
I've noticed that if I crop the front end of a clip, sometimes a note that you think was on the first tick gets clipped, so it's not visible but it still sounds. Drag the front edge of the clip left to expose the beat before your starting beat, then drag the ghost note back into the clip (or delete it).

I checked that - there's nothing hiding under the handles... I do have the track making the sound isolated, but it still sounds. Also, I'm running GB by itself, @Martygras.
Furthermore, I have tried removing everything near the offending note region, but the note will still sound with nothing there. Re-recording still doesn't get rid of it, and I had to Reset my settings when my screen started to flicker during all this - that didn't help the problem, though. A few times I saw this red bar at the top of the GB interface come up flickering & blinking before disappearing.
Addendum: just found out something about GB I didn't know: you can copy from one song file to another ... I had duplicated the original file to play around with it & tried to copy & paste the original section & it worked - got rid of the 'ghost' note!
My trouble has long passed, but can GB do that?
GB has midi in only, no midi out.
