No more 'open in' in cubasis ?

edited January 2015 in General App Discussion

Cubasis no longer shows up as an 'open in' option on the list of compatible apps ?

Trimming & bouncing from audioshare, importing from Dropbox - no longer a possibility ??

Did I miss something ???

  • The only thing I can find that it still works with is 'open in' via email, everything else seems to be gone. Anyone else noticed this ?

  • quick test with Audioshare:it's still there (iOS 8.1.2)

Thanks @crabman. Well I'm stumped, still got over 30 'open in' options showing up in compatible apps but cubasis is no longer one of them, except for from mail attachments. Have restarted apps, rebooted iPad, etc. no change :( The only recent possibilities I can think of might be the Dropbox & Audioshare updates from the end of December but I hadn't noticed this before yesterday.

  • No issues here - iOS 8.1.2 iPad Air 2

  • Is weird. Just discovered the cubasis option is still showing up in 'audio mastering' app, everything else seems nixed.

I think I once read that the 'open in' list only has a limited number of slots and the apps do no show up in the same position everytime. so maybe that's the cause.

I think that limitatation got fixed a few upgrades ago.

You should try a reset. Good luck, what a a pain.

  • Thanks for the responses all !
Having briefly surveyed the cubasis forum, the only similar instance I can find is people having problems with using 'open in' with especially large files. I will trawl through the apps & try deleting a bunch in order to free up some space & see if the cubasis option returns to the menu.
Shame as it's ( once again ) screwed my nicely established workflow....shared files > Dropbox > cubasis, which was working a dream :p

  • Bingo ! Limited number of open in slots would seem to be the answer as deleting a 1/2 dozen apps has caused it to reappear, now how to get those apps back without losing the cubasis option again .... seems like a bit of a random factor is at work :p Anyone know if this is also the case in os8 ?

  • :( typed too soon.....went back to get busy & it had gone again ! So am now assuming the god of ios is having a funny at my expense :) Tried deleting a few more apps & several reboots but still no show. Am now down to about 20 apps in the 'open in' list & I've previously had a good few more all functioning, so am at a bit of a loss as to how to fix this.

  • Did you try pressing the 3 dots to open more options? Here you Can rearrange the order of Apps too. You propably have, just checking :)
