Mathematical music apps
I like 'em. Stochastik Drums and Sector (just started learning it). Different Drummer looks interesting, gonna check it out soon.
Any other apps to look at?

Bitwiz audio synth
8BitSynth - 8bit equation solver synthesizer. Module in Caustic app.
Wilsonic for frequencies...
Synthesis has plenty of maths...modular synthesizers in particular Audulus and zMors Modular have nodes upon nodes of operands, algebra, and trig right there to play with. zMors just added extra math in the last update. Audulus has a math IAP that allows you to write nodes containing your own custom functions. Never thought I'd like math, what happened to me?
Checking them out. Thanks people.
Jasuto is a lot like Audulus, a bit more abstract and trippy, nodes can capture and playback motion onscreen, very atmospheric sounds
And forgot this (expensive) one: iYM2151
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id523075529?mt=8
Audulus on my to-buy list.
Zetagy- glad you mentioned Jasuto, that manual has lots of maths. Beautiful app, just put it back on the iPad since my recent interest in modular synth math

Wow. $34.99 and not updated in two years with (apparently) no MIDI, audio copy/paste, Audiobus or Inter App Audio.
Meths is supposed to be cheap.
Lolz re iYM2151, it's a respectable pain in the ass. Sounds great but impossible to use. The developers are the same people who programmed iMS-20 for Korg, Detune.co.jp tho the website is down, might explain lack of updates
Well, can't argue with having the iMS-20 on your resume, just glad they don't own it today...
Hasn't Jasuto been abandoned?
Last updated December 18, 2014, works great, looks better, all in app purchases dropped and rolled into core functionality, greatly expanded user manual. Go to Jasuto.com and check it, really it's a must-have app if you ask me.
Jasuto looks great. Know where I got the abandoned idea from.
You might want to look at Oscilab too.
Game of life mode in Xynthesizr?
Poly is great - for controlled random.
Quincy does Conway's Life well.
Dot Melody and TNR-I (bounce mode) both have semi-random math-ish-feeling bits.
And yes, Jasuto is fantastic for making totally bizarre sound.
Just picked up Quincy again and there's more there than I first realized...

Funny thing is... It seems they recently released "I Am Synth" for Android
http://www.detune.co.jp Ahh looks like it's back up, maybe it was just a slow connection yesterday. Hey Detune if you're listening iYM2151にAudiobusを加えって下さい。
love me some iYM2151, but don't have Twitter or Facebook. The devs on both, addresses at the bottom of his page...someone with Twitter or Facebook, maybe help a brother out?
