Need advice to put record (audio) iPad package together to record memories
Sorry to impose folks.
I'm in a bit of a pickle. My brother (80) was admitted to a hospice today.
None sure how much time left.
To add to my 'pickle', I live 900 miles away.
Anyways, I'm setting up an iPad for him with FaceTime and also want to setup a scheme where he can record what he remembers, before all is lost. Just us 2 left on that side of the family tree.
Any suggestions/recommendations of an iOS App that would be 'very' simple to use and perhaps save to iCloud or a wifi disk?
Thanks in advance.
Time is of the essence as I'm trying to back home ASAP, hence exposed email.
Heinz

Here's a couple to check out...

Will be praying for him and that his time here on earth with you and family will be a blessed one.
@hwitten Heinz: Beyond the technology (and no doubt the suggestions above are good ones), try to ask him all you can while you can. My only regret (in similar situations) is having waited too long. Good luck to you.
Going to try DropVox.
Smoke-test tomorrow when I take it to him
Thanks All
Smoke-test was a success, almost
It's cumbersome, to nearly impossible, for him to do a playback for himself. I added drop box to his iPad but it will be a bit cumbersome.
I told him I'll keep tabs on the recordings and tell him if volume not good, etc. We did some tests and they were great even without external mike so I'm optimistic.
It's his first encounter with an iPad or iPad type device so I tried to keep things at a minimum. Encouraged though that he made sure I loaded Solitaire.
Thanks again for the help.
Sorry to hear about your brother and glad to hear you're both doing this project! Have you considered iMovie? He can point the camera at the ceiling if he doesn't want to be on it. Very easy to start a new project and easy to play back what you've just recorded.
IMovie came to mind when I first read this also because I just started using it last week.
