USB Stereo Headset with Condenser Mic and Direct Monitoring?

The Blue Yeti sounds great, but when trying to record voiceovers while doing screen captures it is really difficult to control the computer with this big mic and gobo blocking the screen. I am looking for a USB stereo headset with good sounding condenser mic built in and no noise canceling. But I also want it to have direct hardware monitoring built in like the Blue Yeti so you can hear what you are getting without having to record, listen, repeat. Class-compliant too so it works without any drivers on iOS and PC. Can anyone recommend one?

I've been looking everywhere but can't find anything like this. I bought a CAD U2 because it is really close, but after experimenting and testing it to the Yeti, it is way too muffled sounding no matter where the mic is placed and there is no hardware direct monitoring. I'd like to keep it around $100, any help is appreciated.

  • Apogee One, but nowhere near $100. Can charge the iOS device at the same time.

  • Have it. :) Looking for specifically a headset and needs to also work with PC but thanks.

Basically looking for a Samson go mic built into a stereo headset with an integrated pop filter. Really surprised there aren't a bunch of options like this out there.

  • If you have the apogee one you could just get a headset mic that plugs into it, couldn't you?
    Maybe this:

Thanks but I should clarify, once we find the right headset we will be buying several for work. So unfortunately the Apogee one is out. Needs to be good mic sound quality and all-in-one one plug-and-play with minimal fuss for others who aren't as tech savvy. Figured there are a lot of people lurking here who might podcast or do pro/semi-pro quality YouTube demos/voiceovers.

  • Ah, that's a different story. I don't know of anything like that then. Plenty of USB headsets but not with direct monitoring as far as I know.
