Direct audio out as an in?

So I may have just over though my search but is there any kind of audio screen shot stuff audiobus can do...as in why is system output not an option as an input?

  • Technically not possible.

  • U sure, the adiou can be sent over Bluetooth? But not be generated and captured locally?

It would be better giving an example of how you would possible use that setup :)

  • If this was possible I wonder how many of us would use apps like VolcaRackFX to make prank-calls :D

  • Ok, so I have a track in GarageBand, I want to add strings to it from an app call wi orchestra. The strings app will record and send tracks over email but with what I'm describing audio buss could run GarageBand as the output same as it does now and then the strings could be performed "live" along with the song it's going to be part of instead of try'n to do it without a referance and the email open re download and import steps would be cut out and the margin for error would be cut down so a thing that will take no fewer than 5 attempts at the right performance + the 50 or so clicks that comes with are gonzo. This same thing would work for any app that makes sounds.

  • It has nothing to do with any app actually, it would just be the same as headphone out into a recording interface, doing it while the information is still digital and hasn't been ran through the jack itself becaus they are low quality. It might be something apple would hafto do though....

  • Hmm.

Wi Orchestra seems to be quite an old app, don't know if the developer has abandoned it but it doesn't hurt to ask them to add IAA/AudioBus support as the feedback form is still on the web.
