Looks interesting - I'd like more info!
Oh sweet! I was just remembering Attack yesterday and thinking I should use it again. Got it on PC a long time ago, but an iPad version will definitely tempt me.
Interesting. I thought Stroke Machine is Attack for iPad. Because Wolfram Franke was the developer of the Attack VSTi. However, Stroke Machine plays samples, Attack doesn't. Stroke Machine lacks an song mode, Attack seems to have it.
Attack was/is a great vsti, so I'll be all over this iPad version.
Looks great. Thanks!
This is really good news!
I was honestly a disappointed with Stroke Machine both when it comes to user-friendliness, ui and performance, sounds were nice when there were not too many dropped notes but if it's no fun to use the app it's not worth it...
If Attack performs at least as good as Nave does it will be amazing.
I agree with a couple of the above statements. I've always thought of Stroke as the iOS Attack and I have never gotten along with Stroke the way I did with Attack on my old PC. I hope the Attack is tweaked for the iPad to make it super user-friendly.
If it's user-lovely with a song mode could be the next grail contender. Someone's got to nail it...
I really like Stroke Machine, and I really gel with it.
Now saying that I don't use it that much because the way I WANT to use it is to hook it up to external MIDI controllers. As soon as I do that, it seems to flake out in different ways, sometimes hitting a note triggers a different midi channel. I am pretty confident with MIDI and checked for OMNI setting, etc.. Sometimes during a record with my keyboard set to one MIDI channel it will record on a different channel, and so you have notes recorded on the different instrument channel. But if you go to the step sequencer on any of the channels, those note don't show up, but they will still play and you can't clear them, even if you select a different instrument on that channel or close down the app (kill it from the background), it will save the notes.
But if anyone is getting good results with external midi connected, I would love to know how you have it set up.
Attack will be great i really like the vst version one of my first vst synths a long time ago

WINTER NAMM is almost here!
Oh my. Anyone know if Rolf did the coding to port this?
I went looking around this morning after seeing this and could not find anything much other than the little video above.
Very much looking forward to this, especially liked the longer style faders in the mixer section.
Here I am in the back yard (with a friend) tamping down my unreasonable enthusiasm.
I'm not sure if Rolf was involved with Attack. He tweeted this today... @nlogmusic: Before you start to wonder: I'm doing the Nave Plugin version, but not the Attack iOS app.
Not that I care - this is an instabuy!
With Rolf: Instabuy. Without Rolf: Wait and see.
A price will be helpful in deciding as well to some degree at least.
Here's a vid of the VST/AU:

Now there's a quote for his CV/value proposition
@Sinapsya posted this link on FB.
http://www.waldorf-music.info/attack-drums-overview
The bottom of the page says: "Shipping approx. 2. quarter 2015, price - 17,99 €"
So, end of June?
Cool that leaves me free to make other purchases coming out for NAMM.
2nd quarter would start in April, no?
Ah, you're a glass half full kind of fellow.
Second Q = April 1st to June 30th. Here, where we sacrifice to Our Lady of Perpetual Disappointment, that means "Hello Summer..."
Looks cool, if not a bit... Straightforward? That's not a knock. Not everything needs to be avant-garde. Definitely got my eye on this one.
Dang. I thought this was already out...
