Sneak peeks at Borderlands Granular forthcoming update
Nice to see this app still in development. A quick look video was added to instagram recently, where you can find other quick looks at the work being done:

Very nice to see!
I liked this a lot when I first got it, but when it came to importing my own sounds I was disturbed by the arcane file handling so I'd pretty much given up on using it beyond novelty.
(I believe you have to rename your files and it will only accept a limited number, etc.)
This looks to have been addressed in the updated version! (and then some!)
^ Exactly Mister Bonso. It was suggested at the time that easier importing would be forthcoming, but I had LOST ALL HOPE. Wrongly. Good to hear.
Borderlands is superb, even without AB it is worth braving itunes file sharing for.
Anyone got any Borderlands music they want to share, be nice to hear what people done with it. Here's something I did mainly using Borderlands
@RedSkyLullaby - extremely excellent track. Love it.
Your own source sounds?
I'll second @Matt_Fletcher_2000 comments @RedSkyLullaby - what an awesome and heavenly track.
Thanks @pangolin and @Matt_Fletcher_2000
Yes Matt I did use my own samples (I think it was some Neosoul keys and some orchestral samples), there is a bit of Nave over top (guitary sound) and an Arp from Magellan at end.
I sometimes think we are spoilt that it is such a deal breaker for people to have to connect up one wire to get samples in to an app. Then ironically there are people willing to pay $30,000 for a Moog modular and connect up multiple wires. The Moog does admittedly look like more fun than iTunes file sharing however
The automation feature in the update looks like it is going to be great
@RedSkyLullaby Really good. My kind of lost Mars-scape music. Nils Frahm in a moon buggy.
I was thinking 'instant high brow movie soundtrack'.
More of soundscape than a song - IMO - but a fantastic one.
BTW - i've been listening to your SoundCloud Johnny - some great atmospheric stuff there. Pity your DAW of choice only allows 2 minutes max. You should buy the IAP .
I never actually did much with version 1.0, and always turned to iDensity for granular sounds. This update looks like it will change that though.
Is there any mention of Audiobus support? I'd be interested if it gets on the bus.
@monzo The October 19th instagram video mentions audioshare import in the comments section.
Audioshare import would be very handy, always liked this app, but never used it much, the update looks like it will change that.
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 Sarky bar steward you etc!
Truth is I have a very short attention span OR at a very formative moment in my life I listened to Teenage Kicks by The Undertones and made a pledge that no music I was ever responsible for would have the cheek of exceeding the 2.27 this perfect hymn extended to.
@monzo said:
Yes, it will have Audiobus. Certainly in the input slot. I know the dev was also working on setting it up for the output slot as well, but I'm not certain if that will come in the next update.
Great news, great app, mouthwatering videos. Shame it's been tied down to itoons & therefore relatively inaccessible for so long. Up there with Samplr in terms of innovating the possibilities of waveform manipulation.

Audioshare is good, my second favourite app after AB...

Ah ok thanks. It's good he's working on it but I'll hold in until it's there. I bought a couple of apps last year promising AB integration, but still waiting....
After my music making experiences over the last 12 months I now have two immovable criteria for music apps - sound in via Audioshare or AB, sound out via AB.
Crazy looking app though, right up my experimental-avant-electronica street
@RedSkyLullaby, that really is a beautiful track. Been listening to some John Luther Adams recently and the non-melodic element of your track is quite reminiscent of his style. Think there's a piece called Dark Waves. Really looking forward to this update.
@iansainsbury +1 on John Luther. Bought 'In The White Silence' ON OLD CD MECHANISM last year no less. V. thoughtful making stuff...
@JohnnyGoodyear...and how does your attention span deal with a piece like Become Ocean? Heh.
@iansainsbury Point well taken, but that's what so good about good things, they transcend the 'what's next/where's the squirrel?' brain...
@iansainsbury thanks, and thanks for posting John Luther Adams. I love minimal but expansive acoustic stuff like that. Not heard of him before. Reminded me a bigger but more minimal Steve Reich Music for 18 musicians. If you like that you also might like this if you do not already know it already
