MicSwap Pro now has Audiobus compatibility

I'm happy to announce that MicSwap Pro now has Audiobus compatibility! We programmed it so it can be used as an input or as an effect. I personally use it more in the effect slot of Audiobus. I'm enjoying the overloaded drum sounds I'm getting by cranking the gain knob while running drums through it. You can run synths or anything through it. Some of the mics are really bringing some of these instruments to life, giving them an analog feel. I'm very happy with this. If anyone has any suggestions please email us through the app. We're adding more features. This is only ver 1.2. It's just the beginning :)

  • Would be cool to hear some of that action. Have anything up on Soundcloud/Youtube using it in the effects slot?

  • I already own the full version of the app - but you should definitely do some Youtube videos demonstrating what it can do. I've only scratched the surface with it so far.

  • Copy and paste is lovely when it's word for word etc:

I should add I have used it for a podcast (work) and then a voice over for a short video (work) last week and it worked very well.

  • I've been using the Korg Gadget, running it through MicSwap Pro and then into Garageband, stem by stem. It's been a smooth transition so far.

  • Just bought this and it's pretty cool. Way better than Iphone mic. One note though. For some reason, sometimes when I've used it in audiobus input with the tc vocal effect, when I would flip through the mics, it wouldn't pick up any sound and only emit a buzz. But when I would fiddle around with it (ex. Take out tc effect and stick in Vocalive effect) worked as normal.

Hope you guys have a lot of success and stay in biz as I could see this being one of my staple apps when on the go working with different singers on the fly.

  • Aah! I didn't get notification about this thread. Just changed my settings here. Yes! There's some youtube videos up now. Working on adding more soon. There's a great update coming out any day now once Apple approves which adds the AU extension and performance improvements to both MicSwap and MicSwap Pro. Your feedback is very appreciated. It's working great as a plugin within multitrack recorders that support IAA or AU. Of course it's working great in Audiobus as well

Well seeing as @garygary has bought this thread back to life (and with the promise of a cool update about to drop), what do you think of MicSwap at this point? Still using?

  • New updates out now give AU compatibility to MicSwap and MicSwap Pro!
Here it is in Multitrack Studio
