Be careful when recording and you need to remove an input app
Hey all, just want to pass on a warning of a potential bug if you end up switching out different input apps and fx but keeping same output app. I almost lost a lot of recordings that I'd spent a few hours on.
heres what happened:
I had Intua BM2 as one input and djay in 2nd input. I had Magellan in fx and audioshare in output.
through the course of jamming, i ended up removing djay and sticking in glitchbreaks. but the way i did it was force closing djay out. i also decided to redownload fl studio app while i was playing as i had deleted the app to make space on iphone.
well i noticed that i now couldnt hear intua anymore so took out magellan, bm2 and glitchbreaks while still keeping audiobus and audioshare on. i then insert bm2 again with magellan and can now hear everything again and start jamming.
Heres the messed up part. i go to hit record in audioshare using the audiobus side bar and record the greatest one of a kind melody in mankind (you all know the feeling, right?) and end up stopping audioshare via sidebar. i do that two to three more times. afterwards i take a break from my euphoric high to listen to my masterpieces only to find four songs with no waveforms. NOTHING. i double check and listen to each track and i can only hear what seems to be a recording of my finger tapping my iphone. at this point im ready to post the worst review ever of audioshare but i decide to troubleshoot. i stick in trusty ol multitrack daw and repeat my actions, records fine. i then switch it out and replace it with audioshare, and right when im formulating the words for my negative review, voila it works and records! (sorry audioshare devs, nothing personal but imagine almost losing code you worked hard on because your mac didnt save it)
so to summarize, its not audioshare but had something to do with me switching out all these apps in and out of input, fx and forceclosing some of them before disengaging them via audiobus. better to just start off fresh if youre changing your setup.

Thats my guess. then you can close from there. i have no technical knowledge of which to base this off other than i dont want to risk losing any music ideas ever again.
